My name is Dylan Nguyen.
I'm a journalist, filmmaker, and storyteller based in San Jose, California. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Journalism and a concentration in News.
I currently write artist profiles for Aurision, an independent music publication, where I've covered emerging artists across the underground rap, indie-pop, and hyperpop spaces. My work starts from the belief that the most interesting stories in music aren't about the music itself: they're about the people making it and everything that brought them to that moment.
I also founded a video series called Kalopsia that is deeply personal to me. I write, direct, and host an interview series where I follow people building something from nothing at the moment before the world fully knows their name. Each episode is its own self-contained portrait dedicated to the kind of conversations that don't usually make it on camera. It's not about what they do, but about who they are and what they're reaching for.
